Nix Out For Remainder of the Season

Ukiah, CA – September 27, 2007 – TMX’s Alisa Nix is out for the remainder of the season with an injury to her shoulder.

Alisa injured her shoulder during the second moto at round 4 of the Women’s National Motocross Championship at Thunder Valley MX. The following week during round 5 at Washougal MX she injured it again when it popped out of socket during practice and again during the first moto.

After consultation with a number of medical professionals, Alisa has decided to take the rest of the season off and will be undergoing surgery in mid October to repair the damaged caused by these injuries.  

“I was really looking for to defending my title at the US Open and going to Texas to compete in the WMA Cup. However, by having my surgery now, I will be able to recuperate fully before the beginning of next season. I want to be completely healthy for the WMA Motocross National Championship series.” Said Nix.
